Several Arrests in Esch-sur-Alzette Drug Scene Crack-down
A special unit of the Grand Ducal police surprised several people involved in Luxembourg’s illicit drug scene when, at 4.30pm on Tuesday, they descended on the Avenue de la Gare and some of its neighbouring streets.
Several people suspected of illegal drug trafficking were arrested in the crack-down. 130 police officers took part in the operation, which had been ordered by the judicial authorities.
It is not known exactly how many people were arrested in Esch-sur-Alzette today, but they will all be presented to an examining magistrate today who will decide on whether to place them in preventative custody.
